Any new items coming to the Guild Wars Store before November?
I'm highly interested in the mission pack, and if nothing else is going to come out I suppose I'll pick up the Nightfall PvP pack and get all those skills for my heroes.
However, if something like "Game of the Year" packs are going to come out for Factions or Nightfall or something that add weapons, I sure would like to know. That or any other products coming to the virtual store between now and when the promotion ends.

I don't think they're having goty for nf or factions, which is odd. I read that theyre looking at this to put in the store, they just dont know what yet....or at least we dont :O

I really hope they do add something more to the online store than what they have now...didn't they make a poll somewhere on guru on what items we would buy from them i.e. posters, plushies, etc? What ever happened to that idea?

Gaile has stated that she has notified a number of higher ups about this concern. That doesn't mean they will change it, but the concern was passed on by her.

Gaile said that the prerelease bonus pack and GWEN would both be available through the store. GWEN by itself is wha you need to qualify for the bonus packs.

I plan to purchase the GW:EN pre-release and GW:EN itself through the store. I dont see what could entice me to get the boxed version except maybe a map of the new region (far north). In that case i'll split the cost of the boxed version with a mate, keep the tidbits I want, and let him have the key.
So I'm set for the mission pack

Wrong, buying anything to the value of £17/26 Euros/$29 nets you the bonus pack, its just convieniant to be around GWEN release date

I'd like to see them start selling t-shirts, or plushies or something, like was hinted at before. The mission pack sounds great, but I'd much prefer a boxed copy of GW:EN, and I have no use for the character slots.
I'm not going to cry about it, like a lot of other people, but yeah, some other items to buy in the store would certainly solve the problem for me.

I think what he meant was that GW:EN alone puts you over the threshold needed to receive the bonus missions. But I'd like to see new items in the store.

I was thinking about this, and I think I know why they are doing this with the mission pack. And makes some sense.
Since CE's of all 3 chapters can't be purchased in the online store they wanted to implement some CE like for GWEN without being like the other CE ( since alot of people with CE's complained about what the CE came with ) and on top of that make it exclusive for the online store...memories of the Factions CE being delayed come to mind.
Originally I bet they planned on having a normal GWNE version and a CE version as well, and the release was going to be in November. And because of complaints about previous CE's they decided to add some fun little quests instead.
But then there would be a CE version shortage concern to go with that. To eliminate that problem and have a earley release of GWEN as well as access to CE type of material for the masses they're going this route. Also it helps promote the online store.
This is just a theory. But I believe doing it this way helps the masses.
People still want to able to upgrade their old chapters to CE, people with CE's don;t want everyone to have CE's, people with CE's complained about their CE's, and CE got delayed in past or were in short supply.
In the end they thought they had a great idea and peo[ple still complained cause they either never or can;t use the online store. Either way I see it as a way to give people a chance to get more material in a more efficiant way then making ### of copies of botha normal GWEN and a CE GWEN.
Besides that I too would like to see more items in the online store. I remember that old thread where Gaile asked what we wanted and I replied with merchandise like posters, t-shirts, junk like that.
But i am tempted to get a pvp version of something. Got to see which campaign I'm low on skills from.

I doubt they'd do that, since slots are $10 online.

I think the skill pins would sell like there's no tomorrow. Dunno y anet doesn't sell them in retail packets.
Of course, buying them via the online store may be a bit unlikely, as it seems only digital stuff is sold in it.

Might as well sell the minipets and dances from the CE's, too.

I can understand the want for more things in the online store but lets think about it.
The Pin set are supposed to be collector items, which means they should be more rare and hard to get. Putting them here would kinda defet that purpose.
The Nightfall prerelease package would be nice, but since Nightfall is out, selling it now would hardly constitute it being a prerelease.
I am not opposed to new stuff comming in the online store, but remember the char slots are still there (I have 8, 10 might be nice but unessessary) and the prerelease package for GW:EN ($5) and the game itself ($40) surely makes up the amout needed for Bonus mission pack. It doesn't take a marketing expert to see that ANEt wants to increase revenue by decreasing the packaging costs related to the Expansion pack.

Not wrong, but perhaps poorly worded. The point being that you need to spend ~29 in the store... and shockingly enough gwen is said to cost ~29! So what I meant was that if you buy gwen from the online store, that is all the purchase you would need to make to qualify for the bonus mission pack.
